Fostering bonds of solidarity between people of diverse cultures
Dragones de Lavapiés implements community-based programmes in the Madrid neighbourhood Lavapiés. Through collaborating with public schools and social services, high-quality and socially impactful programmes get delivered to as many children as possible.
Through their football programmes, Dragones de Lavapies enables participants to gain an experiential understanding of life values such as commitment and teamwork so they can replicate the lessons learnt on the pitch in other facets of everyday life (i.e. academic). They believe in migrant communities can bring immense benefits to the city and the neighbourhood and create trainings and programmes that bring together migrant and local communities.
