In October 2017, Julian Nagelsmann became the first coach to join Common Goal. The RB Leipzig manager played football at a high youth level before persistent knee injuries forced him to turn his attention to coaching.
As such, he knows what a privileged a position it is to work in the world of professional football and is determined to make a social impact both off the pitch.
He joined Common Goal having recognised it as a movement that aligns with his vision on social change – especially interested by the collective nature of the work.
Julian aims to reduce inequalities in and around the game of football through his work with education-based football projects, particularly in Germany.
