"It was very impressive"
KICKFAIR young leaders take initiative and link up with Willi Orban to support those affected by the war in Ukraine
On 2 November, RB Leipzig play Shakhtar Donetsk. The match should have been held in Ukraine but, because of the ongoing war, Warsaw will host the game.
Common Goal member Willi Orban is using the moment to show that football can play an important role in uncertain times.
He’s invited people who had to flee Ukraine to the match and, with the help of Common Goal Impact Sponsor DAZN, is sharing the story of the young people at KICKFAIR, a Common Goal football for good organisation.
Through football tournaments across Germany, they raised over 11,500 euros for Team Up For Ukraine – Common Goal’s initiative providing immediate and long-term support to those affected by the war. Football for good organisations in Ukraine and surrounding countries, like Common Goal community member Fair Play Program in Poland, are helping implement the initiative's efforts.
KICKFAIR’s story will be shared in the stadium at the match and is a powerful reminder that everyone in football can make a difference.
